“When you choose a nail salon, you need to make sure it is licensed by the state,” Ostrosky said. “Having a state license means there are certain hygiene standards and that the salon has been inspected. It gives you assurance that there is a level of cleanliness there and you want to make sure that the actual beauty technician who works on you is licensed, as well. That means they have been trained in sterilization and technique.”
This type of nail polish is a clear, milky-colored, or opaque pink polish formula that is used specifically before applying nail polish to the nail. The purpose of it is to strengthen nails, restore moisture to the nail, and/or help polish adhere to the nail so staining will not occur and the manicure lasts longer than without a base coat. Some base coats are marketed as "ridge fillers" which can create a smooth surface, and reduce the appearance of the ridges that can appear on unbuffed nails. Some base coats called "peel off base coats" allow the user to peel off their nail polish without using a remover.
I had had my eye on this cheerful pink polish for a while, but with the vast color options OPI provides, I kept running across other hues I could not pass up. After debating on different pink shades for the entire summer, I could no longer put this one off, and wow, have I been missing out! My only upset regarding this purchase is that I didn't buy it sooner and have this perky shade to sport the entire summer! It's a ridiculously obnoxious pink that I feel ladies of all ages can find endearing when they want to feel a little more feminine. It does take at least 2 coats to cover your strokes, or maybe it's only a problem for an amateur like myself, but the end product is well worth the layers! OPI is always my go-to brand and they never disappoint!
