I had had my eye on this cheerful pink polish for a while, but with the vast color options OPI provides, I kept running across other hues I could not pass up. After debating on different pink shades for the entire summer, I could no longer put this one off, and wow, have I been missing out! My only upset regarding this purchase is that I didn't buy it sooner and have this perky shade to sport the entire summer! It's a ridiculously obnoxious pink that I feel ladies of all ages can find endearing when they want to feel a little more feminine. It does take at least 2 coats to cover your strokes, or maybe it's only a problem for an amateur like myself, but the end product is well worth the layers! OPI is always my go-to brand and they never disappoint!

Maggie was extremely friendly & welcoming. The salon was very warm and inviting. They were able to a...ccommodate me immediately for a maincure and pedicure. After a long day of traveling it was nice to be pampered and just treated so nicely, considering I'm not going to be a regular customer, as I stated upon arrival. Thank you for making my long day relaxing. See More

To Ellington’s credit, he was the only Heat player who dared to wear flip-flops without socks before an October game against the Wizards. In the offseason, Ellington and his wife will plan day-dates to the nail shop. Though he believes that feet are “a vital part of what we do” as NBA players, like several of his peers, Ellington said he doesn’t have time to get pedicures during the season. But that just might be an excuse from a man who needs his spouse as his salon interpreter.
According to the US Department of Labor, manicure and pedicure specialists earned a median income of around $20,820 in 2015. Most professionals earn an hourly wage or salary which can be augmented through customer tips. Independent nail techs depend on repeat business and consistent business to earn their livings. The most successful independent manicure technicians may earn salaries of over $50,000 per year. Also, many nail technicians can earn up to $100 per hour from performing more technical nail treatments, such as pink and whites and sculpting. Although these treatments are not particularly popular for the feet, they are, nonetheless, an available option should anyone wish to have such a treatment. A standard pedicure treatment usually costs in the region of $40. Similar salaries can be earned by skilled pedicure techs working in exclusive and high end spas and salons.
For Best Results: Prep your nail with Remove nail polish remover and apply two coats of any MATTEVELVET shade to your nail bed. Mattes can be applied over Zoya GetEven to protect your nails from staining when using highly pigmented shades. To extend wear, apply one coat of the Zoya MatteVelvet Topcoat over your favorite matte shades after polish is completely dry. Due to the unique matte formulation, color is typically not as long-wearing as traditional nail color.
Apply a cuticle softening product to the base of each nail. Use a cuticle softening balm or oil serum. Alternatively, you can use honey as a natural cuticle softener. All 3 options work great to soften your cuticles, so you can easily remove the dead skin. Apply the product where the toenail meets the nail bed. Then, massage each toe to distribute the product.

The health risks associated with nail polish are disputed. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, "The amount of chemicals used in animal studies is probably a couple of hundred times higher than what you would be exposed to from using nail polish every week or so. So the chances of any individual phthalate producing such harm [in humans] is very slim." A more serious health risk is faced by professional nail technicians, who perform manicures over a workstation, known as a nail table, on which the client's hands rest – directly below the technician's breathing zone. In 2009, Susan Reutman, an epidemiologist with the U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health's Division of Applied Research and Technology, announced a federal effort to evaluate the effectiveness of downdraft vented nail tables (VNTs) in removing potential nail polish chemical and dust exposures from the technician's work area. These ventilation systems have potential to reduce worker exposure to chemicals by at least 50%. Many nail technicians will often wear masks to cover their mouth and nose from inhaling any of the harsh dust or chemicals from the nail products.

Nail polish (also known as nail varnish or nail enamel) is a lacquer that can be applied to the human fingernail or toenails to decorate and protect the nail plates. The formulation has been revised repeatedly to enhance its decorative effects, and to suppress cracking or flaking. Nail polish consists of a mix of an organic polymer and several other components, depending on the brand.
“The first thing is that you really have to look around you and say, ‘If this is what it looks like publicly, if there are any red flags, then what does it look like behind the scenes?’” Katta explained. “You want to look for those obvious things: Are trash cans overflowing? Are there nail clippings or nail filings or debris from a procedure around the work spaces?”
